The oldest trees in the preserve age as far back as 300 years old, serving extraordinary views of red oak, maple, ash, and hickory trees. Wintergarden even has its own nature center complete with couches and comfortable seating inside where visitors can get off their feet and relax, as well as the natural resources library featuring some educational childrens’ reads. Staff members are also available inside the nature center to answer questions from newcomers and provide further information about the park.
