Calling all bookworms! Are you looking to dive into a new book, catch up on some reading, or find a quiet place to study? Check out the Wood County District Public Library! Located on North Main Street, the Wood County Library holds plenty of weekly events for community members to promote the significance of literature, creativity, and engagement through learning. Offering in-person and virtual library services to visitors, the library serves as an integral destination to the city of Bowling Green.

The Wood County Library is dedicated to serving the community and providing quality, in-demand materials to meet the needs of the diverse demographic of Bowling Green. The library also greatly values the fostering of connections with all patrons and serving as a space that promotes freedom of ideas and the free exchange of knowledge. Exploration is another key fundament of the Wood County Library, as young learners are encouraged to explore new concepts and further their educational development through the library’s many resources.

Some favorite events of the Wood County Library include family storytime, free snacks and juice, Paws for Reading with therapy dogs, and the bookmobile! The bookmobile is a full-scale mobile library offering sign-ups for library cards, audiobooks, eBooks, popular magazines, and more. Young readers (preschool-young adults) can also grab Bookmobile Passports to track their summer reading. Bookmobile Passports will be stamped for each book read, and readers can then submit a ticket to win awesome prizes.

Hidden gem! Sitting on the second floor of the Wood County Library makes for an excellent view of the downstairs area due to the glass windows surrounding the upstairs. Try this out the next time you visit the library!
